Something broken?
Work through this in order. Most problems are DNS.
Internet works but a specific site or app is broken
- 1Likely blocked by AdGuard. Open AdGuard Home → Query Log and search for the domain
- 2If it's blocked (red), click Unblock — or set your device DNS to
8.8.8.8to bypass
No internet at all
- 1Check the Quantum Fiber modem (Q1000K, utility closet) — solid white = ok, blinking/red = outage
- 2Set your device DNS to
8.8.8.8— if that fixes it, AdGuard may be down - 3SSH into vesta:
sudo systemctl status AdGuardHome— restart if stopped - 4If Vesta is unreachable, wait 2 minutes — it may be rebooting
Jellyfin / streaming is down
- 1Try watch.jollyrogerjukebox.com directly — if it loads, the problem is elsewhere
- 2SSH into vesta:
docker ps | grep jellyfin— confirm it's running
Allow a blocked domain
- 1Open AdGuard Home → Filters → Custom filtering rules
- 2Add:
@@||example.com^(replace with the domain) — takes effect immediately
